Two Madison based teams took to the Poynette ice on Friday night in the first game of the 2017 Wisconsin State Mixed Championship. Tim Ebert skips his team of Susan Dukes, Paul Ryan, and Stephanie Martin while Steve Day is the skip for Sydney Schmus, Dan Schally and Shalon Holbeck. The ladies on Steve's team are currently half of the National Women's Club Champion team. Day's team turned in 6 points in the third end to roll away to a quick win in the first game. The competition is slated for best 3 out of 5 with games sceheduled for 10:00AM and 3:00PM on Saturday and 9:00AM and 2:00PM on Super Bowl Sunday. The public is encouraged to attend at the Poynette Curling Club at 215 Hudson St.
