Wausau: Wisconsin Junior Championship Results

Kylee Barden, Pardeeville and Wes Wendling, Wausau skipped their teams to wins in the U18 Qualifiers at the Wausau Curling Center.  The girls championship was decided in an extra end in a tie-breaker game against Clare Viau, Stevens Point.  Barden used the hammer to score three in the final end, and stole the winning point in the extra end.  Curling with Barden were Lauren Hein at vice, Savanah Koch at second, and lead, Olivia Lee.

On the Boys side, Wendling put together s 3-1 record to win the U18 qualifier outright.  Caden Hebert, Eau Claire, emerged from a three way tie to take the runnerup spot.  Curling with Wendling were  Vice, Chris Kirsch,  second, Carson Kirsch, and lead Nolan O'Keefe.

 For the U21 - State (Bucky) Championship, Team Wendling successfully defended their title from 2020 with an undefeated record.  Curling again with Wendling were  John Wilkerson (vice), Chris Kirsch (2nd) and Jackson Armstrong (lead).  This team will compete in the U21 National Championships, scheduled for Stevens Point in April.
