Falk and Persinger rinks win State Junior Championships - Kettle Moraine

The Cody Falk and Tina Persinger teams took the State Championships which concluded on Monday (Dec. 29) at the Kettle Moraine Curling Club. The Falk team was dominant in all of their games, and was never extended to the tenth end in their 5 game string. Teammates for Cody Falk are Rob Shlimovitz, brothers Ben and Alex Vorpahl, and Ben Miller. The Falk teammates hale from the Portage, Poynette and Wausau curling clubs.

Spielman Wins Wisconsin Championship

Ryan Spielman with his rink of Blackhawk curlers won the Wisconsin Men's Championship on Dec. 13 at the Portage Curling Club.  Ryan and his teammates, Jason Pickett, Calvin Merath and Tony Jacobson put together a record of 6-1 during the 8 team round robin.  Second place went to the Superior team skipped by irvin Mossberger with a 5-2 record.
