WSCA Fall Meeting set for Wausau, Oct. 10

WSCA President Rich Lepping announces the Fall Meeting is scheduled for the Wasusa Curling Center, on Oct. 10.  The meeting is scheduled to start at 9:30AM.  Please review the attachment for a great deal more information.

2015-2016 WSCA Season Underway!

With the Rice Lake Lazy Days of Summer Bonspiel taking place this weekend, I guess we can say that the new curling season has begun.  The break between the Poynette Spring Sticks 'n Stones, and the Rice Lake Summerspiel, is the largest break between WSCA events, so this is as good a time as any to declare the new curling season.  The WSCA website has a new fresh look, and the Poynette Fall Leagues are getting set on Sept. 8.   Another year of Good Curling Everyone!

Wisconsin Connection at the Men's World Championship, Halifax

When the 12 teams take to the ice on Saturday, Mar. 28 in Halifax, NS for the Men's World Curling Championship, there will be a Wisconsin connection on the US Men's team. Two members of the five person team hail from the Madison area and curl in the Madison Curling Club.

Murray Rink Claims Third Consecutive Mixed Title

The Sean Murray team claimed their third consecutive Wisconsin Mixed Championship on the ice of the Waupaca Curling Club, on Mar. 1. Curling with Murray are Heather Betzhold, Dan Wiza and Paige Caulum. The team amassed a winning record of 5-1 in a field of four teams.

Murray and his team head to Blaine, Minnesota for the National Mixed Championship which starts on Mar. 28. The Murray team will be tabbed as one of the favorites, having made the playoffs last year in Wisconsin Rapids.
