Kettle Moraine Takes Both Boys and Girls High School Crowns

Quite a story evolved during the High School State Championships, held recently at the Wausau Curling Center.  The Kettle Moraine Boys and Girls Teams both won the championships in their respective divisions.  It is the first High School Championship for any Kettle Moraine Team in over 30 years, so winning both in the same year is quite remarkable!   Kettle Moraine now joins Portage, Medford, Wausau East, and Poynette as the only  schools/clubs to accomplish that feat.   Congratulations to J.P.

Junior Championships go to Portage Teams

Portage Curling Club was the site of the 2015-16 Wisconsin Junior Championship, and the Portage Club faithful were rewarded with victories  by teams with ties to the Portage club.  On the boys side, Rob Shlimovitz survived a tenth steal by Matt Carlson by scoring 1 in the extra end to gain a 7-6 victory.  Meanwhile AnnMarie Dubberstein led her team to a 10-7 win over Sidney Schroeder.  Please check the attachment for more information.

US Senior Mens National Bonspiel to be hosted by Wauwatosa and Kettle Moraine

Wisconsin is the site again this year for the US Senior National Bonspiel, hosted  jointly by the Wauwatosa and Kettle Moraine Clubs.  Spaces are filling up, and the registration deadline is Jan. 15, 2016.  Click on the attachments for a bonspiel entry form, and see you there!

The 2016 Wisconsin Women's Champion is the Sydney Schmus rink from Madison.  The were undefeated in 4 games agaisnt Lori Karst, Madison and Kim Rudkin, Blackhawk.
